As a Screenwriter, BUFORD was recently hired to write a short film "The Rehearsal Dinner" and a full length screenplay called "Hacked" for the same director.

Buford was a Finalist in the 2010 Urbanworld Media Film Festival in Atlanta, GA for his screenplay, "Kissing Frogs."

Tea Time, a short film, aired at AAFM, S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase in Los Angeles.

Buford has written a short independent film, "A One Color System" which won 2nd place in the 1997 Black American Cinema Society Film Festival (BACS) sponsored by Kodak, was selected for the Bahamas One World Film Festival in 2003 and 2004 was seen at the Independent Black Film Festival in Wilmington, North Carolina, Houston WorldFest where it won the Remi award and was in the International Black Film Festival in Berlin, Germany in May 2004.

He has written and performed in a short film, "Raped By Memories," which was on ifilm.org. and is also the third book in his Eye of the Machine novel series.

There was a stage reading of a 'work in progress' of a film script, "Exterminating Monsters".
